Garden

Before

Progress – pachysandra cut back, rock border and a railroad tie removed. (All railroad ties have to be replaced.)

Before

Progress – pachysandra cut back, carnation, hydrangea & lambs ears left, poppies added. lambs ears need to be spread out.

Before

Progress – hard to see a difference. Rock border removed, mowed path through the pachysandra to the hvac, removed some ferns. The two snowball trees are very overgrown. Trying to save some lily of the valley that’s mixed in with the pachysandra and ferns.

Before

Progress – rock border and outer ring of daylily removed, daffodils cut down, gerber daisies left. I think the ground cover next to the gerber daisies is coral carpet sedum. That taller tree (Hydrangea tree?) got damaged over the winter and is being propped up with a large rock. Not sure if it will bloom/survive.

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme.

Before

Progress – hard to see but everything weeded or cut back except russian sage and peonies.

Before – another view.

Progress

Before

Progress – rock border removed, pachysandra cut back. hibiscus, witches wort (?) and some unidentified flowers left.

Before

Progress – weeded and mowed. Azaleas moved to front yard.

Before – blueberry blossoms

Progress – blueberries!

Raspberry/Blueberry bed

Behind the pool, hostas and ground cover…I think the stuff around the pool is called Variegated Greater Periwinkle.

Before

Progress – Juniper pruned and weeded underneath. Pile of rocks waiting to be taken away.

The sycamore with ring of sedum and astra white balloon flowers.

Before

Progress – azaleas in new home where dead hedge was removed

Before

Progress – gladiolus are bigger now, tiger lily spread out to fill in gaps

Before

Progress – daffodils cut back, rocks removed, peonies bloomed and were beautiful before they fell over.

Before

Progress – big boulder moved back underneath dogwood, all bulbs cut back, weeded. Sedum, tiger lily, hydrangea and ground cover remain.

I think the ground cover with green and white leaves with purple flowers is dead nettle. And the other is mock  or “indian” strawberry.

Boxwood, transplanted fir tree (where arborvitae was). So much pachysandra still to remove.

Before

Progress – weeded, removed arborvitae, some ferns, and rock border. Rhododendron came back nicely after massive pruning last year. Was beautiful when it bloomed.

There was some discussion about whether the weeds I pulled were actually bee balm. Still need to remove pachysandra and some ferns.
