Autumn overnight oats with apples and cranberries in a mason jar

what? not another mason jar.

My friend Amber told me about her new favorite recipe. (I don’t know if it’s even technically a recipe, any more than a bowl of cereal is a recipe.) It’s healthier than instant and making it the night before means you save a ton of time not having to cook it. And, it can be customized. Gluten free/Vegan/Sugar Free or none of the above. So easy. So delish.

Here it is:

Recipe for Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Oats (the real kind, not the instant kind)
  • 1/2 cup Milk (Cow, Soy, Almond, Hemp…Badger)
  • Anything else (Chia seeds, blueberries, cinnamon, brown sugar), toppings can also be added in the AM

Directions

  • Stick it in the fridge (Overnight)

You can eat it cold or hot. I have had it cold, from the mason jar, while walking the kids to the bus stop.

Genius.
