As told by Dan Woodhead

I went snakehead fishing with Larry Massett and Art Silverman on Saturday. This guy Charlie took us. Charlie’s living over at Madeleine and Ante’s. He’s an old friend of Ante’s from his newspaper reporting days. He has a friend named Royal who has a place where you can go snakehead fishing. It’s overrun with snakeheads. They’re really vicious, invasive. They kill all the other fish. It’s a real problem.

So, we headed down to the “Northern Neck”. You take Route 301 over the Potomac to Route 3 to the Bay. It was a long drive. Charlie drove with me. Larry and Art drove down separately. They got there much later than we did. Larry drives fast—he has a Porsche—but not very accurately. He doesn’t use a GPS. We got down there first and just waited around for them. They had the rods with poppers.

When they finally got there we went snakehead fishing, casting off the dock or “loading ramp”. We didn’t catch anything.
