This was taken at the Race for Hope 5K in Philadelphia on November 1, 2009. Seems like forever ago. My hair was still dark, dark brown because I was growing it out to donate to Locks of Love. Nora had only just learned to walk. And I had only just learned to run — and was loving it. My sister Ashley talked me into joining her team doing the race for the National Brain Tumor Society. She was there to support her friend and her friend’s mom and even made us all custom t-shirts. My husband brought our 1-year-old twins and his parents to cheer us on. It was cool and drizzly but we hardly noticed. Ash and I just gabbed the whole time and the 30 minutes or so just flew by. Good times!
